Wealthy By Choice Choosing Your Way to a Wealthier Future Ilene Davis Books

For over 30 years, as first a stockbroker and then a Certified Financial Planner® (often shown as CFP®), Ilene Davis has worked with clients with the underlying belief that Social Security, even combined with a pension, would not provide sufficient income for most of those clients to maintain their desired lifestyle for the rest of their life once they stopped working. Based on that belief, her goal has been to help clients accumulate the personal assets (investments) they will likely need to “fill the gap” between what they expect to receive in Social Security and other retirement benefits, and the income they will need to afford their desired lifestyle should they be unable, or just not want, to work. That is, to have enough in investments able to produce sufficient income on a regular, ongoing basis, or that could be sold and invested in investments that can reasonably be expected to produce income on a regular, ongoing basis to provide the income you would need to do what you want, when you want, with whom you want for the remainder of your life, without having to “work.”
Wealthy By Choice Choosing Your Way to a Wealthier Future Ilene Davis Books
I consider myself of above average knowledge in financial topics, so I was skeptical that any book could tell me much more than I already know are the basics -- Pay yourself first. Control your expenses. Invest and diversify...However, this book surprised me.This book has something for every level (of knowledge and of income). If you consider yourself advanced, you'll find chapters which will stretch your math skills. If you're a beginner, it's packed with easy to read information. Written in short, easy to handle chapters, this book held my attention and even entertained me (unbelievable when the topic is financial planning!)
But what impressed me about this book is that more than informative it's inspirational. Just like everybody knows that to lose weight you have to eat less, yet losing weight it's still so difficult for all of us, it doesn't matter if you know what to do if you're not doing it. Reading this book made me want to take more steps in my financial freedom. One of the first things I did was sitting with my ids and giving them a talk explaining with compound interest is.
I really recommend this book.

Wealthy By Choice Choosing Your Way to a Wealthier Future Ilene Davis Books Reviews
Everyone should read it. Would encourage teachers to add it to their school curriculum.
I sure did enjoy the book, easy reading, stacks of good ideas and lots of good illustrations. Wish I had read it 40 years ago.
This book is full of good simple advice especially for the young. But no matter how many years one has been working, it is never too late to begin saving. Just follow through religiously and you will enjoy your golden years financially well.
Very good book ! I enjoyed it a lot. Miss Davis make it easy to give a person a gentle push to get good spending habits
I am looking forward to be on the right path and be wealthy soon....I wish I had read long time ago....
After reading many "self-help" books on the subject, this is a refreshing approach to individual financial independence. It's a comfortable read utilizing language that is easy to digest. In a subject that can become boring quickly, this book, through understandable examples, expertly piques your interest. I finished it in no time at all, and actually learned things of value!
This is a great book and a fun read. Ilene Davis is like a cheerleader for your finances, driving home the notion that the hardest thing for most people is to get started on a plan...but that even a small start can make a big difference over time. I wish I had read this book when I was in my 20's. I'd be a multi-millionaire by now. But the author is clear that it's never too late. Great book! Great advice! Great gift for a young person! Two thumbs up!
I read the paperback edition and simply had to have the version because I wanted immediate access to the ideas. If you are looking for common sense and practical examples of how to do large and small things with your money to save, invest, and accumulate wealth during a lifetime, then this book is a must have and read. For those who like to learn - especially about money - this book will motivate you to actually do the things it teaches.
